Because I Care

The 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog has such a nice variety of Hostess Stamp Sets for customers to choose as a thank you for hosting a workshop or placing an order of $150 or more..  Because I Care is one of the Level 1 Hostess Sets, and it was used in today's post.

My inspiration for this card was taken from a similar card designed by Stampin' Up! demonstrator Mary Fish.  I just added and changed a few things to create my own version.
.
To make the flowers stand out I stamped several of the single flower stamp that is included in the set, and cut them out and layered them on top of the stamped image, and a white uni-ball Signo Gel Pen added some more dimension.  Always Artichoke ink was sponged around the edges of my top layer, and it was all tied together using Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.   I also ran my first layer of Sahara Sand cardstock through my Big Shot using the new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.   I usually like to add depth to the sentiments on my card and once again I used dimensionals to do the trick.

For today's card I used the following:
Cardstock:  Always Artichoke #205229, Sahara Sand #121043
Ink:  Always Artichoke #105219
Stamp Set:  Because I Care #118384 - wood mount, #120118 - clear mount (Level 1 Hostess Set)
Ribbon:  Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta #119959
Punch:  1 3/4" x 7/8" Large Oval #119855
Accessories:  White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen #105021, Dimensionals #104430, Stamping Sponges #101610
