Welcome Little One

Want to add a little bit of fun to your cards, add a Sweet Treat Cup filled with candy or little treats. To make the card: I punched a hole in my Whisper White Cardstock using the 1 3/4" circle punch, (this size punch fits the treat cup opening perfectly). After I figured out exactly where I wanted to place the layer of Whisper White, I then took the adhesive off the back of the treat cup and placed it down on my Pretty in Pink card base, which I embossed using my Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder and my Big Shot Machine. Now before I placed my layer of Whisper White to the card I punched a border using my Eyelet Border Punch and adhered it on the left side, stamped my handle, and then tied a small piece of Pretty in Pink ribbon to the top of the handle. I made a small slit in the paper for my ribbon to go through. Now you are ready to place that layer. Even though the treat cups have adhesive on them it is only on the back of the cup, so I always add more adhesive to the layer that is being placed on the top, (in this card the piece of Whisper White). The Scallop Oval and Large Oval punches were used for the sentiment.
I know it may sound like a lot of steps, but once you make your first one, it really is easy. If you have any questions about this card or any others you see posted on my blog, feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail.

Stamping Tip of the day: Don't forget to stamp whatever image you are using with your treat cup before you actually place that layer down next to it. Once the treat cup and layer are together it is really hard to get the stamped image up close to the cup. I know this because when I made my first card using a treat cup I had everything glued down and then went to stamp my handle. Well I couldn't get the handle to meet up with the bottom of the treat cup, so I had to start over again.

To make this card I used the following:
Cardstock: Whisper White #100730, Pretty in Pink #100459, Real Red #102030
